Fees and scholarships

If you choose to join us for postgraduate study here at Leeds, you’ll need to pay tuition fees, plus any additional costs related to your course.

You might be able to fund your masters course in a number of ways, including through a postgraduate loan or scholarship.

On the University’s website, you’ll find lots of helpful information about funding for masters courses, including scholarships, bursaries, and extra financial support.

Scholarships

We offer a number of scholarship opportunities to support and reward students from around the world. 

2017 Scholarships

Dean's International Postgraduate Masters Scholarships
There are up to 10 partial-fee scholarships available worth £3,000 each. These awards are open to international candidates who have been accepted for admission onto a full-time MSc programme in the School, and who are eligible to pay tuition fees at the full international rate.

These awards are competitive, based on high achievement. Eligible applicants will automatically be considered for these awards at the time of application, so are not required to complete an application form.

Leeds Masters Scholarships
These are provided to encourage students from under-represented groups to embark on a postgraduate qualification. They are worth £5,000 each and are available to UK students paying the postgraduate tuition fees at the UK/EU rate.

Alumni Bursary
If you are a former student of the University of Leeds you may be eligible for a 10% alumni tuition fee bursary. Find out more 

Course specific scholarships

The following scholarships are available on the Polymers, Colorants and Fine Chemicals MSc 

Clothworkers' Scholarships
Two available covering full UK/EU tuition fees and up to £5,000 maintenance.

Dyers' Scholarship
One available covering full UK/EU tuition fees.

West Riding OCCA Scholarships
Two available for UK/EU students worth £1,000 each.
