Why did you choose the University of Leeds?
Because I came here two years ago for a holiday and I liked the city and then I looked at some other universities as well but I had a good impression of Leeds, especially of the labs and the staff.
Why did you choose chemistry?
I liked it at school and I did the higher level course and I always enjoyed the practical work and then I did a research paper in forensics and I was very interested in this experience.
What is it that makes you passionate about chemistry?
When I did my research project on forensics at school I found it really interesting because of the criminal side and the chemistry in it.
How would you describe your lecturers and tutors?
They really care and offer great help. Lecturers are really different as well but they are really good.
What do you like best about the School of Chemistry?
When I applied to the School of Chemistry they cared a lot and you can always ask and get help and I like that.
What career are you thinking of?
I am doing the MChem four year course and I am interested in management at the moment as well.
Do you do any sports or social activities?
Yes we have a gym in my hall and so I go there with my flatmate.
What would you say to other students thinking of coming to Leeds University?
I like the city of Leeds especially, it’s a good city for students, there are a lot of possibilities to go out. The University is also good there are many opportunities and societies to join. The staff are very helpful, if you have a problem you can ask them and you’ll get help as soon as possible.
