Dr Stuart Warriner
Undergraduate Admissions Tutor
I coordinate the recruitment process including reading everyone’s UCAS application forms and deciding who to make offers to. Admissions is only a part of my work; I teach various undergraduate courses too and I also have a research group which works in the area of Chemical Biology, using chemical tools to understand different aspects of how the natural world works. At the moment we are particularly interested in understanding the molecular basis of how proteins are transported into different parts of the cell using specific chemical inhibitors.
Outside of work you may also come across me playing soprano cornet in my local brass band!
Martin Iles
Undergraduate Admissions Officer
As the Undergraduate Admissions Officer I am the one who will be your first port of call when you call or email us with an admissions enquiry. I will keep in touch with you throughout the cycle which includes sending invitations to visit, offer letters and sending the all important ‘Intro Pack’ after the A Level results. My work also includes organising the UCAS Interview Days, gathering qualification information, communicating decisions to UCAS and liaising with applicants and staff to ensure you receive a smooth transition to Chemistry at Leeds.
