Royal Society of Chemistry Christmas lecture
Year group: Y7 to Y11
Dates: December 2012
Time(s): To be confirmed
Duration: Approx 1 hour
Every year the School of Chemistry hosts a Christmas lecture for schools, sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry. Last year we were pleased to welcome Dallas Campbell, the actor, writer and television presenter, best known for ‘Bang Goes the Theory’ and ‘The Gadget Show’. He gave us a grand tour of science; speaking about how science is part of our culture, showing its inspirational power and not just a subject we study at school. The mix of video footage and live demonstrations showed what science is and how science works.
