Research interests
Chemistry of dyes and fibres (of particular interest: reactive dyes, cellulosic and keratin fibres, fibre modification to improve dye uptake). Analysis (capillary electrophoresis, FT Infrared and FT Raman). Reactive dye synthesis and application. Fibre modification to improve its dyeability (especially cellulosic and keratin fibres). Fibre substantive crosslinking agents. Use of spectroscopy (FTIR and FT Raman) to follow dye synthesis. Cosmetic Chemistry (especially hair dyeing and hair setting). Digital inkjet printing.
