Research interests

Design of novel coloration methods for textile fibres. Chemistry of dyes and fibres, including development of models to predict dye properties (QSAR). Environmental aspects associated with colorants. Fibre modification to improve dyeability (cellulose, polyamide & keratin fibres). Cross-linking compounds to improve dye fixation. Hair & cosmetic chemistry (hair dyes). Analysis via capillary electrophoresis.
