Objectives of the network:

IMAGINE aims to consolidate European expertise in Chemical Physics, particularly in photo-ion imaging and Rydberg atom translational Spectroscopy. It consists of a programme of interlinked and complementary experiments designed to probe chemical reactivity at the highest possible level of detail. It aims to explain elementary reactions of fundamental importance to combustion, atmospheric and interstellar chemistry at the quantum level. A recurrent theme throughout the programme is the development and demonstration of key establishing technologies which enable the scientific objectives. This involves close collaboration with industrial partners (El-Mul, La Vision, Photek).
